PhD, King's College London History of Medicine Gender History

I am a public historian specialising in the history of gender and medicine. I hold a PhD in history from King's College London, following postgraduate degrees in France and Italy and undergraduate studies in Brazil. My general research interests are cultural history and feminism.

I created Living History to bring rigorous historical storytelling to a wider audience, through this blog and my YouTube channel. My writing has appeared in publications including History Extra, Epoch, and Wellcome Stories. I frequently speak at academic conferences, public events, and podcasts.

I host My Body, My Book Club, a feminist reading group focused on bodily autonomy, which raises funds for charities in collaboration with The Vavengers, a charity working to eradicate gender-based violence.

I'm Brazilian and live in Hertfordshire (UK) with my husband and our daughter Lili.
